Unfinished Business:
a. Election
of Board Offices:
i. President: Dave Kepner was nominated and was unopposed in re-election.
ii. Treasurer: Russ Manning was nominated and was unopposed in re-election.
7. New Business:
a. Update
of all contacts for teams and league members should be completed as soon as possible.
b. Team
fees must be paid before teams are allowed to compete, no change from last year ($1800.00)
c. Rosters
must be completed and sent to Babe Ruth Headquarters, copy to Dave Kepner to share with league as they are completed. Emphasis
was added to “no games played” until rosters were filed with League prior to first game.
d. Sr
Babe Players/Teams/Playoffs
i. 16 yr old must play in the region of their Sr Babe Ruth team if they played the last
season with their regional association.
ii. If the 16 yr old player didn’t play or played in another league as a 15 yr old,
the player will be free to play with any Sr Babe Ruth team
iii. If the player didn’t play for a year (sat out) the player is free to play anywhere.
iv. Players are required to play 50 percent minus1 game scheduled to qualify for the playoffs
in Sr Babe
v. Injured players qualification for playoffs will be addressed on a case-by-case basis
by the Lower Bucks Sr Babe Ruth League Board.
vi. Players age 19 must not turn 20 years old in the calendar year of play
vii. Players must be 16 years old by May 1st.
viii. Swing players must not start games ahead of 16, 17, 18, or 19 year olds.
ix. Swing players may be in their 15 yr old team uniform and do not have to meet Sr Babe
Uniform requirements.
x. Use the swing players if called to the games
e. Fees
for umpires will increase $5.00 in Sr Babe.
f. CBL
Players/Teams/Playoffs
i. Bensalem CBL owes $2250.00 from last year (2011) and must pay $4500.00 to become current
in fees for the CBL
ii. Players must not turn age 24 before August 1st
iii. Fees for CBL teams will remain $2250.00 per team, members discussed individual teams
providing their own insurance, nothing was decided and Russ Manning will continue with purchasing team insurance, actual team
member numbers needed to pay for what is needed versus maximum of 21 per team.
